The Nottingham City Business Club is kicking off its 90th anniversary celebrations with a special charity lunch on Friday 28 February where the world’s greatest living explorer, Sir Ranulph Fiennes will be the guest speaker.
Sir Ranulph, OBE, is a British adventurer and record-breaker and will share some of his amazing experiences that span his 40 years as Britain’s most famous explorer. Fiennes has led 15 expeditions across some of the harshest environments in the world which have raised £14 million for a variety of good causes and in 2010 he was named as the UK’s top celebrity fundraiser by JustGiving.
Guests will hear about some of his inspiring achievements including; the Land Rover 7 x7 x 7 challenge where he ran 7 marathons across 7 continents in 7 days, conquering Mount Everest and crossing both polar ice-caps and making an unsupported crossing of the Antarctic continent.
Sir Ranulph has also written a number of books about his experiences and will be signing copies of his latest book ‘Cold – Extreme Adventures at the Lowest Temperatures on Earth,” for guests at the lunch. This special anniversary event is also raising money for the Children’s Air Ambulance, with a percentage of the ticket price going to the charity.

We’re also delighted that we will raising funds for a charity that provides such a vital national service helping transport ill babies and children.”
Sponsored by Mazars, the event takes place at the Park Plaza on Maid Marian Way with pre-event drinks between 11:30am and 12pm. Sir Ranulph will address the guests at 12.15pm with lunch to follow at 1pm.
