Leicester company Alltruck plc are heading to London on 12th November, hoping to be a winner at the National Business Awards. The commercial vehicle contract hire, rental and maintenance specialists feature alongside business including FedEx, LV Insurance and last year’s winners Baringa Partners, as a nominee for Employer of the Year.

Alltruck plc were recently identified as one of the top 200 fastest growing companies in the East Midlands, appearing at 105 in the list produced by Grant Thornton and CBI East Midlands. Alltruck plc, who also have depots in Nottingham and Sleaford, credit their growth as being down to their commitment to delivering the highest levels of customer care.

The company believes the starting point to delighting customers is through a motivated and talented workforce and they put a large amount of focus on employee engagement, training and development as a result.

This commitment to their staff has seen Alltruck plc in 2013 become a re-accredited Investor in People, Leicester Mercury Human Resources Business Award winner and now a finalist at the National Business Awards.

The National Business Awards are the UK’s leading business accolades with finalists chosen from the hundreds of businesses that entered or were nominated for the titles. Finalists will now prepare to make presentations to expert juries who will decide the overall winners across all 17 categories.

Shortlisting judge Nita Clarke said of Alltruck plc “Managing the challenge of growth, Alltruck has put real emphasis on engagement in a traditional sector, with an authentic staff alignment and engagement approach that is leading to excellent customer service.”

Alltruck plc Managing Director Paul Robinson said of becoming an Employer of the Year finalist “We firmly believe it is the quality of our people that set us apart from our competitors and it is wonderful to have our commitment to our staff recognised on the national stage.”
