CML employees raise over £10,000 for good causes

CML-9383Employees at Leicestershire-based Core Management Logistics (CML) have smashed their yearly fundraising target, resulting in a final total of £11,585.17 being raised.

CML’s workforce, made up of 200 employees, were set the target of raising £5,000 for a variety of charities including Children in Need. However, as a result of their dedication and fundraising efforts, which included a CML relay consisting of a run around the company’s 270,000 sq ft warehouse, the final figure stood at £6,585.17.

The £5,000 target was also matched by CML in the form of a donation to Loughborough children’s hospice Rainbows. Katie Baxter, events and community manager at Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People, said: “We would like to thank CML for its generous donation. Our team of medical professionals and specialists help relieve symptoms; improve quality of life; and care for children until the end, as well as supporting parents and siblings through their bereavement. Rainbows relies on a huge network of support and without the help of companies like CML, we would not be able to continue running the hospice, which brings care and support to life-limited children, young people and their families every day.”

Graham Copley, Managing Director at CML, comments, “We are absolutely delighted that CML employees have once again stepped up to the charity challenge and delivered great events, plenty of laughs and, most importantly, over £6,000 for a variety of worthy causes.

As a company we appreciate all their hard efforts to meet the target and we are please to have matched our employees target total with a donation to our chosen charity Rainbows.” Fundraising activities are already well underway to meet the increased £8,000 target for the current year, with home made curry lunches, bake sales and games nights having recently taken place.
