As well as further housing and a neighbourhood centre, the new phase of development will bring more retail and commercial space to the area, with as many as 680 jobs expected to be created as a result. The scheme will also include large areas of green open space and woodland for the community to enjoy.
Following extensive public consultation, the planning approval allows St. Modwen to continue investing in the region, building on the Marston’s pub and the first phase of residential development that have already been delivered.
