A director of business management software provider Solutions for Accounting and CRM is celebrating after achieving status as a Salesforce-certified Sales Cloud Consultant.
Will Ingleby secured the prestigious accreditation following months of study and years of hard work as a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) practitioner. The certification, from the world’s leading CRM platform Salesforce, is designed to extend the knowledge and progress the careers of individuals who implement its solutions for customers.
Mr Ingleby was the founder and managing director of BluebirdCRM, a Derby-based provider of CRM and marketing software solutions, which aimed to help SMEs grow by improving their sales and marketing capabilities. The firm, which he founded in 2005, merged with Nottingham-based financial management software provider Solutions for Accounting in April 2015.
He said: “Salesforce is a very logical and powerful CRM platform which helps businesses become more streamlined, effective and efficient across sales, customer service, marketing and more.
“I’ve worked in CRM for many years and everything about Sales Cloud, as a tool to help businesses achieve their ambitions, makes sense to me.
“As I was preparing for the exam, I couldn’t understand why they’d made it so hard, but now it’s behind me I really feel I’ve achieved something special.”
Mr Ingleby is delighted with his latest achievement but admits it was something he had previously put off after completing his Salesforce System Administrator badge earlier this year.
He added: “It’s not that I wasn’t keen to get accredited, but I remember how hard the administrator course was and I liked my life without the long evenings of study.
“However, achieving the certification brings huge benefits to our business and will allow us to provide even greater levels of advice, expertise and customer service to our clients, so it was well worth the time and effort I invested into studying.
“I actually enjoyed revising for the exam. I was able to draw upon years of experience with other CRM systems, and sales and marketing best practice in general. I now feel well-equipped to help support our clients’ Sales Cloud implementations.”
