To celebrate the opening of the new show homes, Barratt Homes North Midlands held a ribbon cutting ceremony at its Berry Hill development in Mansfield.
The Black Scotch Lane development will consist of a selection of two, three and four bedroom properties and the show homes will now provide the first look at the completely furnished interiors.
Cutting the ribbon to the brand new show homes was Chairman of Nottinghamshire County Council Sue Saddington, who was joined by Cllr Kay Cutts MBE, the Leader of the council.
Keen house hunters are able to view the sought-after properties now the homes are officially open to the public.
Berry Hill forms part of an exciting new community which benefits from nearby countryside views, excellent commuter links and will soon feature a primary school, shops, a community park and a wildlife reserve.
Councillor Kay Cutts MBE, said: “I am delighted to welcome the opening of the new Barratt showhome at the Lindhurst development in Mansfield which will bring new homes, jobs and up to £70m of investment to the local area.
“We have worked closely with our private sector partners to bring about this new development which includes former County Council owned land underlining our commitment to make Nottinghamshire a great place to live and work and a powerhouse for future economic prosperity.”
