A Northampton-based housebuilder has donated thousands of pounds to a local charity.
As part of an ongoing partnership with the Henry Allen Trust, a charity that supports young people battling cancer, Redrow Homes South Midlands has reached a £30,000 milestone in fundraising.
From events at Head Office to adventures further afield, Redrow has pulled out all the stops on its fundraising mission, including a Rust Bucket Rally which saw team members travel from Northampton to North Africa by car, a Question of Sport charity quiz night, and cake sales.
The £30,000 was raised in the last year alone and the Redrow Homes team aren’t slowing down any time soon, with a Gung Ho event scheduled for Saturday 30 June, which will see the team tackle an inflatable obstacle course, as well as many more events in the months to come.
The fundraising efforts form part of a continued relationship between Redrow Homes South Midlands and the Henry Allen Trust. The charity has a special significance to the company after Chase, the daughter of Redrow Homes South Midlands marketing co-ordinator, Mandy Howie, bonded with Henry whilst receiving treatment for cancer before sadly, they both lost their battles with cancer.
Dawn Allen, who launched the Henry Allen Trust, said: “We are so incredibly thankful to the team at Redrow Homes South Midlands for their consistent support and amazing generosity. The tremendous amount of money they have raised will allow us to continue bringing happiness to families in honour of our beloved Henry.”
Tonia Tyler, sales director for Redrow Homes (South Midlands), said: ‘We are honoured to continue our support to such an exceptional charity and are delighted at the great success of the fundraising campaign.
“We are very fortunate to not only have the wonderful support of a great team here at Redrow Homes, but also generous sub-contractors and suppliers, who have helped us to meet such a fantastic milestone.”
The Henry Allen Trust provides such wonderful care for children and families facing cancer so we are committed to continuing our support over the coming year.”
The Henry Allen Trust endeavours to make life easier for those struggling with childhood cancer, granting wishes that allow families to create special memories, as well as providing emotional support, advice and financial help to families and friends of those affected.
