Notts accountancy firm strengthens audit team with four hires

Leading accountancy firm UHY Hacker Young has strengthened its Nottingham-based audit department with the appointment of four new hires.

Audit and accounts manager Louise Tawn, audit supervisor Andri Kantara and audit seniors Abi Moore and Lucy Gazzard will significantly boost the firm’s audit and assurance offering, bringing with them 20 years of experience.

The four new recruits come as part of growing demand for the firm’s services in the region – as it continues to grow and diversify its client portfolio.

Louise, who joined UHY after spending almost 12 years at Smith Cooper, said she is looking forward to developing strong client relationships while working for the accountancy firm.

She added: “I wanted to work for a reputable firm to assist me to progress my career goals while working in a supportive and enjoyable environment. I enjoy working with clients from a wide range of industries and UHY has a fantastic client base. The firm also offers a good work life balance with flexible working.”

Lucy qualified in 2017 and previously worked at Mabe Allen, Abigail joins UHY from Hardcastle Burton LLP after qualifying in 2016 and Andri has six years’ experience in the industry and has previously worked for KPMG.
