The Nottingham Restaurant & Bar Awards culminated in a glamorous Awards Ceremony hosted by TV personality, Mark Durden-Smith, at Colwick Hall on the 31st January 2018 attended by sponsors, regional businesses and the hospitality industry.
Celebrating diversity and excellence in the food and drink scene across Nottinghamshire, Chris Robinson, Managing Director of headline sponsors, Adtrak, commented:

There were 11 awards voted for by the public and a further 4 that were ‘industry only’. Voting for the Nottingham Restaurant and Bar Awards opened to the public back in September for the duration of a month during which time nearly 49,000 votes were cast. Following this the nominees were passed to independently appointed judges consisting of food and drink journalists and critics and hospitality experts who then delivered the final decision.
The overall winner of the Nottinghamshire Restaurant of the Year Award was Bar Iberico, an independently owned and operated restaurant located in the heart of the city’s popular Hockley area. They also scooped Best Design for their take on an authentic Spanish tapas style eaterie.
Best New Restaurant went to Sexy Mamma Love Spaghetti, again located in Hockley and Best New Bar, Pub or Gastro Pub went to The Railway at Lowdham. 2 Michelin star chef, Sat Bains, was awarded Critics’ Choice for his continuing efforts in championing the region through food and drink.
