New Year, new recruit for Shooting Star

Shooting Star’s marketing team has been bolstered with the appointment of Sam Clarke as the agency’s new digital marketer

PR, marketing and digital specialist Shooting Star has taken on a new team member.

Sam Clarke has joined Shooting Star as Digital Marketer, bolstering the Lincoln agency’s marketing department. This new addition to the 10-strong team follows several new high-profile client wins before the Christmas break.

After working for various international and national clients as a self-employed video editor and producer Sam relocated to Lincolnshire in 2016 when he moved into marketing, working for businesses in the Lincoln area.

Sam is currently studying a Diploma in Professional Marketing with the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

“I am very pleased to join the Shooting Star team and this is a great start to 2019,” said Sam.

“The benefit of being part of a multi-disciplined marketing team is that we all work together to build campaigns that fit the needs of our clients, using a strategic and integrated approach towards communications rather than focusing on single tactical areas of marketing.”

Senior Marketing Manager Sharon Foster said: “I’m thrilled to welcome Sam to Shooting Star! His appointment makes our team bigger than it has ever been and really raises the bar for 2019. We’ve got lots of exciting things in the pipeline and I can’t wait to see what the year holds for us.”

Shooting Star was established in 2006 by directors Jez Ashberry and Kate Strawson. It works for public, private and third-sector clients across a wide range of sectors including hospitality and tourism, property, health, local government and manufacturing.

Director Jez Ashberry commented: “After 12 strong years in business our team is now the most experienced, capable and dynamic it’s ever been. Turnover last year also hit a record high and 2019 is set to be the biggest and best year we’ve ever had!”
