Mansfield Homes Ltd is seeking to appoint two independent non-executive board directors to help it achieve its vision and deliver its priorities.
The company is looking for candidates with experience of high level stakeholder engagement, who can work collaboratively with the existing board members.
The ideal candidates are expected to have experience of non-executive board level work and an understanding of finance and / or accounting, property development acquisition or management, combined with a commercial outlook. Some knowledge of the local area would also be an advantage.
Cllr Dave Saunders, Mansfield District Council’s Portfolio Holder for Regeneration said: “Like all councils, Mansfield District Council is facing year on year reducing financial support from central government. Therefore, the council needs to either save money or raise income. Setting up a company allows the council to raise income through the sale of land to the company and a share of the profits.
“We know from our recent consultation on the Local Plan Draft we still need about 7,500 new homes to be built in the district over the next decade and a half.
“The two new board directors will work alongside the existing board members and with other stakeholders to help the company achieve its vision of providing quality housing for local people.”
