The Business Inspiration programme, set up by Bishop Grosseteste University, and funded by the European Regional Development Fund, is offering skilled business advisors to work with a range of businesses across the county.
In addition to personal advisors, businesses can also access specialist grants to help fund their growth plans. Many businesses have already accessed funding to help pay for consultancy for activities such as product development and testing, website development and design, and e-commerce.
The programme also offers a second grant option, in the form of a Graduate Internship grant, designed to help pay the wage of a graduate intern.
One business who has benefitted from part funding for a graduate intern is Cleethorpes based music and entertainment venue ‘Moon on the Water’ who wanted help to market the venue and bring in more customers.
Warren Jolly, Managing Director at Moon on the Water said: “The support offered to us has helped us to develop the business and opened up the opportunity to access funds to support the creation of a new marketing post.”
Grahame Killey, Project Manager for the Business Inspiration programme said “Business Inspiration is a fantastic way for local businesses to both help themselves grow, and also to help grow the local economy. We’re excited to offer such a unique and tailored service to small businesses across the county.”
To be eligible for the Business Inspiration programme, businesses must be based in Greater Lincolnshire, have fewer than 250 employees, a turnover of less than or equal to €50million or a balance sheet with a total of less than or equal to €43million and be able to demonstrate their intention to grow or improve. Due to the bespoke nature of the support, the programme is only available to a limited number of small businesses, therefore early enquiries are advised.
