Leicestershire ladies say it’s time to make a difference

Two local Leicestershire ladies are set to make a big difference as they open a new home care company. Home Instead Senior Care will care for elderly clients in Loughborough, Charnwood, Syston, Coalville and surrounding areas.

For Charlotte Johnson and Hayley James this is an exciting new venture, providing exceptional home care support to older people helping them to continue living independently in their own homes.

Combining their considerable business experience and complementary skills, with their passion to care, this young and energetic duo is preparing to change the face of ageing in the local community.

Charlotte and Hayley worked together for fourteen years for a major retail manufacturing company, Hayley in supply chain management and Charlotte in sales, manufacturing and design. They both felt the time was right to pursue a more fulfilling and rewarding career and Home Instead provides them with the perfect opportunity.

Setting up the business was an easy decision to make for Hayley, who has experienced caring on a personal level, she explains, “My family went through a difficult period of ill health, where we needed to find good quality home care support for both my grandparents and for a time my father and it was a bewildering challenge. I realised that this was a scenario being played out by many families and during this stressful time you really don’t know what to do or where to go.

She continued, “We are now able to provide care for our clients that we would want for our own loved ones, but also to give that much needed reassurance and peace of mind for their family and friends.

Charlotte added, “We so often hear about the problems within social care, but we see it as a real privilege to care for people in their own homes. We provide truly person-centred companionship care, and take pride in matching our clients to their caregivers based on shared interests. They are given time to care, which of course helps them to build great relationships built on trust. I am  so proud to be doing something so meaningful, helping older people to get the care they deserve!”
