Leading Leicestershire PR firm Word Association has opened a new creative hub as the focus of its communications operations.
The communications consultancy has launched a studio in The Atkins Building, in Hinckley, Leicestershire.
It is holding an open day on 7th November (12.00 noon – 5.30pm) to showcase the new studio and encourage local businesses to pop in and meet the team.
It comes as Word recruits two new members of staff to its team – an artworker and press officer – to improve its range of services to clients.
The Atkins Building is a bustling, mixed-use centre for local creative and business communities.
Once home to the Atkins hosiery factory, the striking Grade II listed building has been transformed in recent years into a mixture of creative studios, office space, an art gallery, café and meeting and function rooms.
With its move to the Atkins, Word joins the Creative Hinckley collective of arts and creative industry practitioners who live, work and practice within the Borough of Hinckley and Bosworth.
The team will also play its part within the Hinckley BID (Business Improvement District), an initiative aimed at promoting businesses and boosting local trade in the area.
Chief Executive Mark Thomas said: “We are thrilled to become part of such a vibrant centre for creative businesses in the heart of Hinckley.
“These really are exciting times for us, as we move to our new studio and take on two new members of the team.
“With this move, we hope to forge strong links with local businesses, providing innovative solutions to their communications challenges at an affordable price – and all on their doorstep.”
Word offers a wide range of services, including PR, marketing, design, publications, events, digital and new media.
The award-winning agency has over 20 years’ experience of working with a variety of organisations, including SMEs, multinational companies, charities and public sector bodies.
