Significant business growth and continuous tech developments at Gigantic has seen the national ticketing company named as a finalist at the highly respected Music Week Awards.
For the second year running Gigantic is up for ‘Ticketing Company of the Year’, which recognises the crucial role played by ticketing companies in encouraging the continued strength of the live music industry.
Nottingham based Gigantic has experienced unprecedented growth within the past 12-months, with 2017 marking its best ever trading year. Ticket sales increased by 38 percent, turnover was up 17 percent, and staffing levels increased by more than 25 percent.
The ethical ticketing company holds the third largest inventory in the UK and works with some of the biggest stadiums and music festivals in the country. Significant wins in 2017 included selling tickets for British Summer Time Hyde Park, Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran, as well as securing a new long-term contract with the UK’s biggest city-based music festival, Tramlines.
Recent tech developments include the easy to navigate dashboard, an online portal created in-house and puts the promoter at the heart of their own event, with 24 hour real-time data. The customer review programme has also been highly praised, with more than 30,000 reviews received to date. It gives all consumers the chance to give feedback on the events they’ve attended, their thoughts on using Gigantic and their purchase experience.
Mark Gasson, founder, says: “The ticketing sector is one of the most competitive and dynamic areas of the music industry. With 10 years standing in business, we continuously strive to innovate and improve our offer and stay ahead of the game. To be in the running for this award would be a well-deserved validation for our hard work.”
The Music Week Awards are firmly established as the unrivalled badge of excellence for the music sector, launched to raise standards across the industry by showcasing top class performance and innovation. Each year these prestigious awards are peer-voted and judged by an independent panel of specialist judges.
Winners will be announced at a ceremony to more than 900 of the industry’s leading figures on April 26 at Grosvenor House Hotel, London.
