Free event to help businesses get their marketing data GDPR ready

Nottingham-based marketing consultancy, V Formation, is holding a free lunchtime seminar on 29th June at BioCity Nottingham to demystify and explain the new data protection regulations and what organisations should be doing to get their marketing data ‘GDPR-ready’.

The new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) rules come into effect in May 2018 and will change how businesses can capture, store and use customer and contact data.

V Formation will be joined by a panel of experts who will provide practical tips and advice to help organisations to ensure their marketing data and activities are GDPR compliant.

At the lunchtime event, Ed Wright, Intellectual Property Partner from Shakespeare Martineau will provide a legal overview of the new regulations, along with the associated penalties for non-compliance. Simon McNidder from Database FirstAid will share tips and advice on CRM housekeeping, and document management company, Arena Group, will consider GDPR from a wider perspective and how organisations can approach document management.

Alongside the panel, marketing experts from V Formation will share their thoughts on what the new data rules mean for marketing, along with best practice tips for ensuring that marketing data is compliant with the new regulations.

The event, which is aimed at business owners, marketing, HR and IT professionals, will also encourage delegates to ask questions and share their own challenges and suggestions around GDPR.
