Leadership Management International (LMI) UK, one of the country’s leading people development organisations, has appointed John Watkinson as a new Franchise Owner in the East Midlands.
An internationally experienced Technical Leader, he will become LMI-UK’s new Matlock-based franchise owner, with responsibility for helping businesses in Derby, Nottingham, Sheffield and the surrounding area improve their performance through the development of their people.
With sessions set to begin in November, Watkinson will use his expertise and personal experience, combined with the unique LMI programmes to help individuals achieve their full potential and become better leaders.

“In my previous role as Executive Director following some 32 years with the organisation, I have plenty of experience mentoring and managing others, helping people develop and become more effective within the workplace.
“Much of my career involved managing people and I soon realised I had a passion for helping people develop; now I get to do it full time.
“I’m also the product of an LMI programme, which offered first-hand experience of the valuable skills and attitudes required to succeed, becoming a more productive and effective leader as a result.
“The programme allowed me to overcome significant obstacles in my career and I’m keen to share my experiences with other individuals, developing and inspiring the next generation of managers and leaders.”
