Loughborough-based logistics company, ETS Ltd has once again teamed up with two-time Olympic cyclist medallist, Bryan Steel in a bid to find the next cycling champions from within the East Midlands.
Founded in 2016, the Bryan Steel Cycling Academy, which is located in Bryan’s Nottingham hometown, was set up to nurture and develop proven riders from within the East Midlands area with a view to providing a route to the national, international and professional stage.
With first-class coaching from cycling legend Bryan and team director Mick Padley, this year’s team of six ambitious cyclists are now on track for a gruelling schedule of over 80 road races across the country with the aim of eventually competing in world-class competitions.
As a company committed to supporting the local community, ETS is not only sponsoring the Academy once again this year but working with the team as a full logistics partner. Leveraging its expansive warehouse and large, flexible fleet, ETS’ dedicated team will be on hand throughout the duration of the racing period to provide logistical support and guidance which will enable the team to compete at multiple events up and down the country.
Jon Elliott, managing director of ETS, comments: “We are delighted to sponsor and support the Academy for the second year running. As a company deeply rooted in the East Midlands community, we feel very passionate about giving back, particularly when it comes to helping the next generations. Everyone at ETS is rooting for Bryan and his team and we’ll be watching closely over the coming season.”
Commenting on ETS’ support, Bryan Steel added: “We’re obviously thrilled to have the backing of Jon and the rest of the ETS team once again this year – not just in terms of sponsorship, but in helping us to get our equipment from A to B safely and on time.
“Thanks to the support of our sponsors and partners, we’ve been able to develop an exceptional offering where young riders are able to thrive and prepare themselves for a potential national and international platform. We’ve already had a fantastic start to the year, and may just have the next world champion in our midst – so watch this space.”
