‘Bustler’ style pop-up bar. opens at intu Derby

An exciting new bar has opened its doors at intu Derby, brought to you by the people behind the city’s most talked about pop-up street food market, Bustler.

In an exciting new move from the centre, ‘bar.’ brings an array of craft ales, local beers and ciders, wines, spirits and hot drinks along with guest street food vendors and bar snacks, located on Level 2 next to Byron Burger and Carluccios.

‘bar.’ is the brainchild of Derby locals Ben Edmonds of Blok Knives, Andy Darke of Hide, and Liv Pritchard of Burger Bar, the trio behind the city’s popular Bustler street food market concept which launched earlier this year.

Visitors to the new go-to destination ‘bar.’ are now able to enjoy drinks, along with snacks and small plates from the resident street food vendor chefs, during the centre’s opening hours.

Ben said: “We are really excited about the launch of ‘bar.’ here in the centre and have been working hard behind the scenes to get ourselves ready to open this week, in time for the festive season.

“We have been overwhelmed with our success in the city since we launched Bustler Market, and when the opportunity came to open alongside the fantastic eateries at intu Derby we jumped at the chance.

“We’re delighted to be bringing the Bustler experience to a new audience through ‘bar.’, and look forward to welcoming shoppers for a cheeky festive drink over the coming weeks.“

Carly Salisbury, Marketing Manager at intu Derby, said: “We are thrilled to welcome ‘bar.’ to intu Derby. It’s unusual for a shopping centre to be able to offer such a wide variety of food and drink options under one roof, and this new opening demonstrates our commitment to bringing customers the very best shopping and leisure experience.

“’bar.’ will provide shoppers with a unique venue in which to enjoy an array of drinks and snacks. It is the perfect addition to the centre’s food and drink offering and opens at the perfect time for festive drinks after a day Christmas shopping.”

‘bar.’ joins restaurants including Byron Burger, Carluccio’s, MEXIco, Wagamamas and new eatery Frank Corndogs, in centre.
