A Senior Site Manager working for local homebuilder Barratt Homes North Midlands in Hucknall has scooped a prestigious award in a national competition to find the best-run building sites in the country.
Martin Rose, 52, has gained official recognition for the excellence with which he manages the new homes development, called Merlin Park, by receiving a Pride in the Job Quality Award. The awards are dedicated to recognising Site Managers who achieve the highest standard in housebuilding.
Martin has worked at the Wigwam Lane site for two years, and is putting the finishing touches to the development now that it has sold out, before he takes on a David Wilson Homes North Midlands development in Littleover, Derbyshire.
This is his ninth Pride in the Job Quality Award and he has also previously won a Seal of Excellence award.
He said: “I feel honoured to have been given another Pride in the Job Quality award, it’s still very exciting and it’s great to be recognised for your hard work.
“These awards are definitely a result of a team effort on site and I would like to thank each and every person who works at Merlin Park.”
In total, Barratt Homes North Midlands, based in Nottingham, had three Site Managers win Pride in the Job Quality Awards.
This year in total Barratt Developments has won 74 awards, which is more than any other housebuilder. This is now the 13th year in a row where Barratt has won more Pride in the Job awards than every other housebuilder, making it the clear industry leader in site management.
Each of the site managers are judged on their site safety, technical skill, workmanship and customer service, plus they will also have faced a site spot check from the NHBC. With over 16,000 site managers being assessed and only around 450 winning a quality award each year, they are a much coveted sign of excellence within the industry.
These awards closely follow Barratt Homes North Midlands receiving five stars in the Home Builders Federation (HBF) for customer satisfaction. The developer is the only housebuilder to be ranked as five star by the HBF for the last eight years in a row.
Chris Southgate, Managing Director at Barratt Homes North Midlands, said: “We would like to congratulate Martin on his success and his continued dedication to our Merlin Park development.
“We are delighted to yet again win more Pride of the Job Quality awards than any other housebuilder as it demonstrates the high standards that we demand as a company.
“More importantly though, the awards showcase excellence in housebuilding; homeowners who buy a Pride in the Job winning home benefit from knowing they have bought a top quality product.”
